Create value. Capture is a side effect.
We optimize for problems worth solving. The revenue follows. Reverse that order and the business dies — slowly, then suddenly.
Not a fund. Not a studio. A holding company that picks durable problems and works on them for a long time — sometimes from scratch, sometimes alongside other founders.
We don't chase deal flow. We don't optimize for IRR on a seven-year clock. We build companies that we'd be happy to own for the next thirty.
Not a brand manifesto. The actual operating premises we revisit when a decision is hard.
We optimize for problems worth solving. The revenue follows. Reverse that order and the business dies — slowly, then suddenly.
Cheaper software doesn't reduce software demand; it expands it. We build for the world where abundance of one input multiplies demand for ten others. AI is Jevons on steroids.
Clear-eyed about what's broken. Committed to building what replaces it. We operate on the premise that problems yield to work.
More leverage in more hands produces more value, more choice, more compounding. We build for that world, not against it.
A durable company employs people, pays taxes, and compounds welfare over decades. Profitable businesses are infrastructure. We treat them that way — with patience, with discipline, and without apology.
A running ledger of the companies Zeno operates, incubates with founders, or holds equity in. Updated as things ship, not as things launch.

Statutory, secretarial, and regulatory compliance as a continuous workflow.
Structured intelligence over fragmented public and regulated datasets.
Crawling, extraction, and retrieval infrastructure for modern teams.
Compliance and disclosure intelligence for regulated real-estate markets. Co-built with founder.

Zeno is run by one person, with a handful of trusted co-builders across portfolio companies. Here's the short version.
I started building internet businesses in the early 2000s and haven't stopped. Along the way I've run teams, bought and sold companies, written code at 2am, written cheques in the morning, and learned — sometimes painfully — which problems are worth a decade of my life and which ones are not. Zeno is how I work now: fewer bets, longer horizons, more ownership.
The way I think leans on a small set of mental tools — second-order effects, inversion, the Lindy test, and the discipline of asking "what does this look like in ten years?" before asking "what does this look like next quarter?" I'm biased toward durable problems with structural tailwinds, and biased against cleverness that doesn't survive a downturn. I'd rather be approximately right about a big thing than precisely right about a small one.
Today my build focus is Breeze. My incubation focus is picking one or two operator-founders a year to co-build with. Everything else is compounding in the background — which, if the principles on this page are right, is exactly the point.
